Removal of the wisdom teeth is a very common dental procedure that dentists recommend. This can be done relatively easily if the wisdom tooth has already erupted. But if the wisdom teeth has not yet erupted then it will entail performing a surgical procedure and not just a simple tooth extraction anymore. Not many dentists can do this kind of surgical procedure (removal of unerupted or impacted wisdom teeth). This is a particularly bloody and painful procedure that’s why most patients would prefer to either be asleep or under heavy sedation before they go through this procedure.
